Normandy Airports Association: a common strategy for regional connectivity
A cooperation that began in 2016
In 2016, the Normandy Region initiated a merger between the airports of Caen-Carpiquet, Deauville Normandie, Rouen Vallée de Seine and Le Havre-Octeville.
The objective : to make the regional airport offer more legible and to strengthen Normandy's air connectivity in France and internationally.

Officially established in 2018
In May 2017, a charter was signed between the Region and the four platform owners:
- The Joint Syndicate for the Management of Rouen Vallée de Seine Airport,
- The Joint Syndicate of Deauville Normandy Airport,
- Le Havre Seine Métropole,
- The Caen la Mer urban community.
Following two studies conducted in 2017 and 2018 (audit of accounts and analysis of the methods of creating a common structure), theAssociation Aéroports de Normandie was created in June 2018.
The association's missions
The structure coordinates the four platforms within a shared strategy, serving the attractiveness and economic development of Normandy. Its actions are structured around three priorities :
- Sharing certain functions between platforms.
- To promote Normandy's airport services to travellers and airlines,
- Develop commercial air traffic (scheduled and seasonal flights),
A key role in Normandy's attractiveness
Since its founding meeting on June 26, 2018, the association has acted as a lever for:
- Strengthening institutional cooperation,
- Supporting tourism development (D-Day beaches, Mont-Saint-Michel, Côte Fleurie…),
- Boosting the regional economy through improved air accessibility.
The Normandy Airports Association thus embodies a common ambition: to make Normandy an ever more connected region, open to travelers as well as businesses.
